What is an ignition interlock device (IID)?

An ignition interlock device (IID) — like an Intoxalock — is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle. Before the engine starts, you provide a breath sample; if your blood alcohol concentration is above the programmed limit, the vehicle won't start. It's a court-ordered requirement for many DUI-related reinstatements.

Do California DUI laws require an ignition interlock device?

Yes. Under California law (VC 23700), most first-time and repeat DUI offenders in participating counties must install an IID to reinstate or maintain driving privileges. The required installation period varies by offense and county — check your court order or DMV notice for your specific term.

How do I get an Intoxalock installed?

Call us to schedule an appointment, then bring your vehicle and any court or DMV paperwork to our Fresno shop. We install the device, show you how it works, and report the installation to the state. The whole process usually takes about an hour.

What do I need to bring to my installation appointment?

Bring your court order, DMV notice, or any paperwork naming you as the IID-ordered driver, along with a valid ID and the vehicle you'll be driving. If another shop removed a previous device, bring that documentation too — it helps us avoid duplicate fees.

Do you service and calibrate Intoxalock devices?

Yes. Intoxalock devices require regular calibration (typically every 30 or 60 days) to remain in compliance with state requirements. We handle scheduled calibrations, updates, and any service the device needs between appointments. Call ahead to book your calibration window.

Can Intoxalock devices be removed, and when?

Yes. Once your court-ordered installation period is complete and you've received authorization for removal, we remove the device and restore your vehicle's electrical system to factory condition. Bring your removal authorization paperwork so we can verify eligibility before uninstalling.

What is the difference between ceramic window tint and regular tint?

Ceramic window tint blocks far more heat and UV rays than standard dyed film, and it won't fade or turn purple over time. It keeps your cabin noticeably cooler, protects your interior, and doesn't interfere with phone or GPS signals. Regular dyed film is cheaper but offers far less heat rejection and a shorter lifespan.

How much does window tinting cost in Fresno, CA?

Window tinting in Fresno varies based on how many windows you're tinting, the film grade, and your vehicle type. We offer entry-level, premium, and full ceramic packages to fit different budgets. The quickest way to get an exact number is to run through our short online quote — you'll see package options tailored to your vehicle.

How long does it take to tint a car?

Most window tint installations take 1 to 3 hours depending on the number of windows and the vehicle. Larger vehicles like SUVs, trucks, and RVs take longer than a two-door car. We'll give you a precise time estimate when you book your installation appointment.

What is the legal window tint percentage in California?

California law allows 70% light transmission on the front driver and passenger windows and windshield. Rear windows can be darker. We'll walk you through what's legal for your specific vehicle and help you choose a shade that keeps you compliant while looking great. We never recommend a film that puts you on the wrong side of the law.

Does ceramic window tint actually reduce heat?

Yes — ceramic tint is built specifically for heat rejection. Premium ceramic films can block a large percentage of infrared heat and up to 99% of UV rays, so your cabin stays dramatically cooler and your A/C doesn't have to work as hard. Customers in the Fresno heat consistently notice the difference the first day.

How long does professional window tint last?

Professional ceramic window tint typically lasts many years without bubbling, peeling, or changing color when installed correctly. Our premium ceramic films include manufacturer warranties against bubbling, peeling, cracking, and color change. Proper installation in a controlled environment is the biggest factor in how long it lasts.

Can you tint over existing window tint?

In most cases, old tint should be removed before applying new film so the result is smooth and even. We can remove existing tint and then install fresh ceramic film in the same visit. If your current tint is in great shape, we'll let you know honestly instead of upselling you.

How long should I wait before rolling down my windows?

We recommend waiting about 2 to 3 days after a fresh tint installation before rolling your windows down. This gives the adhesive time to fully cure so the film doesn't shift or peel at the edges. We'll send you complete aftercare instructions when your installation is finished.

Do you tint windshields, sunroofs, and panoramic roofs?

Yes — we tint windshields, sunroofs, and panoramic roofs using film rated for those surfaces. Windshield tint must stay within California's legal limit, and we'll match the shade to your side windows for a clean, uniform look. Tell us your vehicle during the quote and we'll confirm exactly what we can do.

What window tint percentage should I choose?

The right percentage depends on your goals — privacy, heat rejection, or a sleek look — combined with California's legal limits for your vehicle. We'll recommend a shade that balances all three and show you samples so you can see it before committing. Tell us what you're after and we'll point you to the perfect film.

How much does car audio installation cost in Fresno?

Car audio installation in Fresno depends on the equipment, your vehicle, and how custom the build is. We can install anything from a simple speaker upgrade to a full custom system with custom enclosures. Run through our quick quote and you'll get options tailored to your ride and budget.

Can you upgrade my factory car speakers?

Absolutely — upgrading factory speakers is one of the easiest ways to improve your sound. We install speakers that fit your factory openings or build custom mounts for a clean, factory-like finish. We'll recommend speakers matched to your music and your budget.

What is the difference between subwoofers and regular speakers?

Regular speakers handle the mid and high frequencies that make up most of your music, while subwoofers reproduce the deep low bass you can feel. Adding a subwoofer fills out the bottom end and makes the whole system sound fuller and more balanced. We can add a sub to almost any setup without replacing your existing gear.

Can you install Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in my vehicle?

Yes — we install CarPlay and Android Auto head units in a wide range of vehicles, even older ones. You'll get navigation, music, calls, and voice assistant access right from your dash. We'll confirm the right fit for your dash and steering wheel controls during your quote.

Do I need an amplifier for my car speakers?

An amplifier lets your speakers perform at their best with cleaner power and lower distortion at higher volumes. Factory stereos often underpower aftermarket speakers, so an amp makes a noticeable difference. We'll tell you honestly if your setup needs one or if your speakers will run fine off the deck.

Can you install a subwoofer without replacing my factory stereo?

Yes — we can add a subwoofer and amplifier using line-output converters that integrate with your factory stereo, so your dash stays original. This is a popular upgrade for leased vehicles or anyone who wants to keep the stock look. You keep your controls and add the bass you're missing.

Do you build custom subwoofer boxes?

We custom-build subwoofer enclosures to fit your vehicle and match the specs of your subwoofers for the best possible sound. A properly built box makes a bigger difference than most people expect. Show us your ride and we'll design a box that fits perfectly and hits hard.

What car audio brands do you install?

We install a range of trusted audio brands across different price points, from entry-level to competition-grade gear. We'll recommend the right brands for your sound goals, your vehicle, and your budget during your quote. We can also install equipment you already own if it's compatible.

Can you install sound systems on motorcycles, boats, and UTVs?

Yes — we install audio built for the elements on motorcycles, boats, UTVs, and powersports vehicles using marine- and motorsport-rated equipment. These setups need different gear than a car, and we'll spec the right components for your ride. Tell us what you ride and we'll design a system that holds up.

Can you upgrade my car stereo without changing the factory appearance?

Yes — we can integrate upgraded audio behind your factory dash using stealth installs, custom mounts, and hidden amps so your interior looks stock. It's a great option for leased or premium vehicles where you want to keep the original look. You get big sound with an invisible footprint.

What are starlight headliners?

A starlight headliner is a custom-installed fiber-optic setup in your headliner that creates the look of a starry night sky inside your vehicle. You can choose the number of stars, the brightness, and even twinkling or color-changing effects. It's one of our most popular interior customizations.

How much does starlight headliner installation cost?

Starlight headliner pricing depends on the size of your headliner, the number of stars, and whether you want a static, twinkling, or color-changing setup. We'll give you options across different star counts and effects during your quote. It's more affordable than most people expect for the wow factor.

Can you install LED ambient lighting inside my car?

Yes — we install custom interior LED ambient lighting in footwells, dashboards, door panels, and cupholders for a clean, premium glow. Most builds include app or dash-switch control so you can change colors and brightness. We design the layout so it looks factory, not like an add-on.

Do you install LED underglow lighting?

We install LED underglow and underbody lighting for a dramatic look when you're parked or showing off your ride. We wire it cleanly with a dedicated switch and app control so you stay in compliance on public roads. Tell us your vehicle and we'll design an underglow kit that fits it.

Can I change the colors of my interior LED lights?

Yes — most of our interior LED installations are RGB or multi-color and can be controlled from your phone, a remote, or a dash switch. You can switch colors, adjust brightness, and even run patterns. We'll set it up so it's easy to control and looks seamless.

Do you install LED headlights and fog lights?

We install LED headlights, fog lights, and auxiliary lighting for better visibility and a sharper look. We use DOT-compliant setups for street use and brighter off-road options where applicable. We'll confirm what's legal for your vehicle and your driving before we install.

How long does custom automotive lighting installation take?

Lighting installs range from a couple of hours for a simple ambient kit to a full day or more for a complete starlight headliner and multi-zone build. We'll give you an accurate time estimate based on what you want done when you request your quote.

Can you install custom lighting on motorcycles, trucks, and UTVs?

Yes — we install custom lighting on motorcycles, trucks, UTVs, and powersports vehicles using weatherproof, vibration-rated components. These builds are designed to handle the elements and the ride. Tell us what you ride and we'll design a lighting package built for it.

Can I control my vehicle lighting from my phone?

Most of our lighting installs include Bluetooth app control so you can change colors, brightness, and patterns right from your phone. Some builds also add a physical dash switch for quick on/off. We'll set up whichever control style works best for your setup.

Are aftermarket LED headlights and underglow legal in California?

California allows certain aftermarket lighting but has specific rules on colors, beam patterns, and where lights can face while driving. Headlights and tail lamps must meet DOT standards for street use, and some accent lighting is restricted to parked or off-road use. We wire everything for compliance and will walk you through what's legal for your build.

How do I get a price for window tinting or vehicle upgrades?

Just complete the short survey at the top of this page with your vehicle and the upgrade you want. Our team reviews your details and reaches out with the best options for your ride — no obligation. It takes about 60 seconds and you'll get real package options.

Why do installation prices vary between vehicles?

Pricing varies because every vehicle has different glass area, door panel complexity, and install time. A large SUV costs more to tint than a compact car, and a luxury dash takes longer to integrate than a standard one. Your quote reflects the real labor and materials for your specific vehicle.

Do you offer financing for window tint and car audio?

Yes — we offer flexible financing with quick approvals and promotional interest options available, so you can upgrade now and pay over time. You can apply right through the survey or in-store with no hard hit on your credit. Ask us during your quote and we'll walk you through it.

Can I get a quote online without visiting the shop?

Yes — our online quote walks you through your vehicle and the upgrade you want so we can send options before you ever visit. It's fast, free, and there's no obligation to book. If you decide to move forward, we'll get you on the schedule.

Are installation costs included in your quotes?

Yes — our quotes include both the product and the professional installation labor, so there are no surprise add-ons. If you're supplying your own equipment, we'll quote the install labor separately and confirm compatibility first. You'll always know the full price up front.

How much does a complete car audio system cost?

A complete car audio system can range from a straightforward speaker and amp upgrade to a full custom build with subs, custom enclosures, and sound deadening. The cost depends on your sound goals and your vehicle. Run through our quote and we'll lay out a few system tiers for your budget.

Do you offer different packages for different budgets?

We build packages at several tiers so you can choose the level of performance and finish that fits your budget. Whether it's an entry-level tint or a full ceramic package, we'll show you the trade-offs clearly. Tell us your goals and we'll match you to the right tier.

Can I combine multiple vehicle upgrades into one quote?

Yes — you can request tint, audio, lighting, and security all in one quote, and we'll bundle the labor where it makes sense to save you money. Combining installs also means fewer trips to the shop. Tell us everything you want and we'll build a combined package.

Do you charge for estimates?

No — our online quotes and in-shop estimates are free, with no obligation to book. We want you to have the information you need to make the right decision for your ride and budget. If you decide to move forward, we'll get you scheduled.

Do you offer any specials or promotions?

We run specials and package deals throughout the year, including seasonal tint promotions and financing offers. The best way to catch current promos is to request a quote or contact us directly. We'll let you know what's available when we put together your options.

How do I schedule an installation appointment?

You can book right through our online scheduler after your quote, or give us a call and we'll find a time that works for you. We'll confirm the work, the time estimate, and any details before you come in. It only takes a minute to lock in your slot.

How long does a typical vehicle customization take?

It depends on the scope — a tint job is usually a few hours, while a full audio and lighting build can take a day or more. We'll give you a realistic time estimate up front so you can plan your day. For larger builds we'll confirm timing when you book.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

We strongly recommend an appointment so we can dedicate the right time and bay to your vehicle. Walk-ins are welcome when we have availability, but booking ahead guarantees your slot and avoids a wait. You can schedule online or by phone.

Can I wait at the shop while my vehicle is being worked on?

Yes — you're welcome to wait in our shop area during shorter installs. For larger builds we'll give you an accurate time estimate so you can plan to grab food or run errands. Either way, we'll keep you posted on progress.

Do you install customer-supplied equipment?

Yes — we can install equipment you already own, and we'll confirm compatibility before we start so everything fits and works correctly. There's no guarantee on customer-supplied gear, but our installation work is covered by our craftsmanship guarantee. We'll be upfront about any compatibility concerns.
